Voucher requests and reviews: how does it all work?
Since the beginning of Modern States, learners who pass our courses have been eligible to receive a voucher that lets them attempt the related CLEP exam at no cost. This connection between learning opportunity and assessment of learning is at the heart of our approach, so we recently made substantial improvements to how the voucher process works.
Historically, learners had to complete a form to request a voucher, and then wait for us to review the request and send it.
It wasn’t the most efficient or effective way to distribute vouchers, so we decided to simplify it and to automate the approval process.
Now, once you pass the final exam with a score of 75% or higher, a new page with a voucher request button will appear in your course. Once it appears, just press the button to request your voucher. That’s it.
Our systems are now integrated, allowing for an automated review of your request. At that point, more magic happens: 95%+ of the time, you’ll get a response back in seconds. Some requests will get declined, but if that happens, you’ll get an email with an explanation and the steps to remediate your request. Some requests will need manual review, but if that happens, you’ll also get an email letting you know; even better, because of the automation, we can act on those within a single day in most instances.
